Truck driver robbed on PVNR Expressway in Hyderabad
A truck driver was allegedly robbed by two youths on the PVNR Expressway in Hyderabad. The accused stopped him on the pretext of an accident, demanded money, and fled after snatching his mobile phone. Police are investigating.
Hyderabad: A truck driver was allegedly robbed by two youths on the PVNR Expressway under Attapur police station limits on Wednesday.
According to police, the victim, Vinod Kol from Shamshabad, was on his way from Balanagar towards Shamshabad when the incident occurred near Pillar No 173 at Upparpally.
Two persons, identified as Mohd Sahil and Mohd Amaan Uddin, both residents of Kalapathar, came on a bike and stopped him, accusing him of causing an accident.
“The duo allegedly demanded Rs 20,000 and during an argument, forcibly snatched his mobile phone before fleeing the spot,” police said.
Based on the complaint, Attapur police booked a case and are investigating.
