Trucks collide, drivers stuck in cabin for three hours in Bhupalpally

Reports indicate that Incharla Raju from Gopalpur village was transporting coal to Palvancha, while MD Haider from Chitya was returning with ash after unloading coal there. The two lorries collided at Tatya Thanda.

Bhupalpally: A severe head-on collision between two lorries near Tatya Thanda in Kuravi mandal of the district, left both drivers injured and caused a major traffic jam on the Kuravi main road on Thursday.

According to reports, Incharla Raju of Gopalpur village of the district was going to Palvancha with a load of coal and at the same time, MD Haider of Chitya was returning with ash after unloading a load of coal at Palvancha. Both the lorries collided at Tatya thanda. The impact of the accident was such that the cabins of both the lorries got smashed and the drivers got stuck in them. It took over three hours to rescue them. The rescue team had to use gas cutters to remove the two drivers from the cabin.

The two injured drivers were shift to a government hospital for treatment. A case was registered and investigation is underway.
