TS-bPASS committee set up to help obtain building permissions hassle free
The panel will make sure the process is hassle free and carried out in a time-bound manner

Hyderabad: To make sure the process of obtaining building permissions in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits is hassle free and processed in a time-bound manner, a TS-bPASS Committee has been formed.
The Telangana State Building Permission and Approval and Self- Certification System (TS-bPASS) Committee comprise officials from the GHMC, irrigation and fire department. The collectors of three districts – Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Medchal–Malkajgiri are members of the committee headed by GHMC Commissioner DS Lokesh Kumar.
A nodal officer for each department has been assigned to meet the deadlines pertaining to issual of No Objection Certificate (NOC) by line departments. “The nodal officer appointed for each department will coordinate with line departments and make sure the NOC is issued in a time bound manner,” said a GHMC official.
While issual of provisional fire NOC and Land Conversion disposal should be done in 14 days, the deadline for the irrigation and revenue department to issue the NOC is 10 days.
Monitoring and reviewing performance with respect to clearances and permissions, disposing applications in a time bound manner, resolving complaints from applicants and line departments are some of the activities that will be taken up by the panel. The committtee members would report to the government on the status of pending applications along with the reason. The TSbPASS Committee shall meet twice in a month.
Keeping record of dashboard and MIS reports pertaining to all applications with respect to building/layout permissions is also the responsibility of the committee. The GHMC had received 124 single window applications and 2,318 applications under instant approvals so far.
