Hyderabad: The State government is rechristening the Telangana State Building Permission Approval and Self Certification System (TS-bPASS) as BuildNow (Unified Online Building and Layout Approval System) by introducing a few administrative reforms and services.
BuildNow would be formally launched Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy in February, 2025, IT Minister D Sridhar Babu said here on Tuesday.
In the new building and layout approvals system, the drawings of multi-tower buildings can be scrutinized in less than five minutes. Similarly, the time for issuing permissions for non high-rise buildings would be cut down from 21 days to 15 days and the time for issue of Occupancy Certificate would also be shortened from 15 days to 10 days, he said at a press conference.
Compared to 2023, there was 22 percent increase in new building and layout permissions in 2024 and 17 percent rise in the number of permissions approved, the Minister said, adding that with 467 Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWI), Hyderabad had surpassed Bengaluru, which had 352 UHNWIs.
