Hyderabad: A two-judge Bench of the Telangana High Court comprising of Chief Justice Hima Kohli and Justice B Vijaysen Reddy on Tuesday directed the Telangana State Medical Services and Infrastructure Development Corporation (TSMSIDC) to decide on the notice to show cause where 13 patients lost their vision due to contaminated IV Fluid.
The petitioner, Haseeb Pharmaceuticals Private Limited, had sent various samples of the products for analysis to the Government Analyst Drug Control Laboratory (DCA Lab), Hyderabad. The DCA Lab issued a report stating that the samples were not of ‘Standard Quality’.
The TSMSIDC complained that the stock supplied by the petitioner was not fit to be used, unless and until cogent evidence is let in by both the parties to substantiate their respective claims.
The panel granted three weeks for the Telangana State Medical Services and Infrastructure Development Corporation to decide the matter. The panel also left it open to the petitioner that if it still is aggrieved, it can seek appropriate legal course.

Notice issued to ISB
Justice Abhinand Kumar Shavili of the High Court ordered notice to the Indian School of Business in a writ petition filed by one of their students.
The judge was dealing with a petition filed by Bhimineni Divya challenging the act of the ISB in not permitting the student to appear in the current academic year 2020-2021 on account of deficit Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). She stated that there is a procedure and a normal practice wherein the deficit CGPA could be made up for in the next academic year, but the ISB rejected her request without any reason. The judge issued notice to the ISB in the matter.
Excise Dept pulled up
Justice K Lakshman of the High Court voiced displeasure at the Excise Department over auctioning of vehicles without following the procedure as per law. The judge was dealing with a writ petition filed by Ghanshyam Karwa, challenging the act of the department in auctioning his car, which was earlier directed to be released by the court.
Damodar Mundra, counsel for the petitioner, said the department willfully disobeyed court orders only to cause loss to the petitioner. The judge earlier directed the government pleader to bring the entire original file before the court, to see what procedure was followed, as it was clear that the department without even mentioning the description of the property and giving notice to the petitioner went ahead for the vehicle’s auctioning. The judge reserved the matter for orders.
