Hyderabad: In a short span of time, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has achieved a substantial growth in new services.

According to a press release, within 81 days since VC Sajjanar took charge as Managing Director on September 3, a total of 510 buses and 1,934 trips which include new and restored services was achieved.

In a quest to facilitate the commuters, TSRTC has restored 359 bus services in various districts of the State. A total of 151 new buses were also started for the convenience of the passengers. These new buses add 1,934 trips to the TSRTC timetable.

The corporation restored 94 buses and started 105 new services in the Greater Hyderabad zone, which will make 1,014 trips on various routes. Similarly, a total of 81 buses were restored and 10 new services were started in the Nalgonda region. Commuters of almost every region, including Adilabad, Khammam, Karimnagar and Medak, will now see more TSRTC buses on the roads.

Interestingly, most passengers reached out to TSRTC through Twitter to put forth their issues. The TSRTC was able to resolve 364 of the 370 representations received by the common public. The TSRTC Chairman, Bajireddy Govardhan, appreciated the MD and TSRTC staff for their commitment towards restoring and starting new services within a very short period.
