Nalgonda: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) MD V C Sajjanar hoped that the public transport system would soon turn the corner by overcoming losses. The RTC chief travelled in a district bus like a common passenger and reached Nalgonda from Hyderabad in a deluxe bus.
He also held a review meeting with the officials in Nalgonda and inspected the bus station. He also interacted with the passengers and inquired them about the facilities at bus stations. He also warned the stall owners that higher prices can not be collected rom passengers. Action would be taken against the stall owners, if they were found to charge more than the MRP, he cautioned.
Sajjanar said entire RTC staff were vaccinated and hence people should not fear to utilize the services of TSRTC. He asked the people to hire the buses of RTC for excursions, marriages and transportation of goods. He informed that CARGO services would also be extended to the farmers’ crops also. He assured that CAT card and other concessional schemes would be revived soon. CCTV cameras would also be installed in all RTC bus stands in the state.
Stating that political parties and private organizations should not post pamphlets and wall posters on the premises of RTC bus stations and advertisement stickers on buses, he warned that cases would be filed against those who violate it. He said that a bus would be sent, if anyone tweets for service or hire of a bus. Travelling RTC buses was safer than private buses, he added. Later, Sajjanar went to Miryalaguda from Nalgonda in a RTC bus, surprising the passengers. He also inspected the bus stand of Miryalaguda and conducted a review meeting with the officials of TSRTC.
