Hyderabad: To facilitate devotees heading to Sabarimala for their annual pilgrimage, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) is planning to operate 200 special buses from various locations in Telangana to Sabarimala.
As part of the special initiative for devotees, the Corporation will allow one Guruswamy, two cooks, two Manikantas and one attendant to travel for free in a bus.
The devotees can hire the RTC buses by submitting a security deposit.
The officials have decided to reduce the cancellation charges of the hired RTC buses. Accordingly, if the cancellation request is made at least 48 hours prior to the travel, then the passenger will be charged Rs 1,000 towards cancellation fees. Similarly, if the cancellation is done from 24 to 48 hours or within 24 hours from the departure time, the passenger will be charged Rs 5,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively.
The corporation has also coordinated with the authorities at Kerala to ensure a hassle-free darshan for all the devotees through spot booking at Pamba.
