TSRTC to run over 4,000 special buses for Sankranti

Hyderabad: To avoid traffic jams during the Sankranti season, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has decided to operate 4,318 special buses from January 7 to 14, between Hyderabad and various destinations in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and other neighbouring States.

A total of 3,338 special buses will be operated within Telangana, to destinations such as Karimnagar, Adilabad, Warangal, Nalgonda, Medak and Siddipet. On the other hand, 984 buses will connect Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, to destinations such as Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam, Bhimavaram, Tenali, Guntur and Kakinada.

To ensure smooth running, TSRTC has deployed 200 officers and employees at various bus stations, including Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station (MGBS), Central Bus Station (CBS), Jubilee Bus Station (JBS), Miyapur X Roads, Ameerpet, Telephone Bhavan, Jeedimetla, Uppal X Roads and LB Nagar. The corporation has requested the passengers to book to and fro tickets in advance from bus stations, authorised ticket booking agents or by visiting their official website, www.tsrtconline.in.

Bus schedule from January 11 to 14

From Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station (MGBS): Towards Khammam, Srisailam, Kalvakurthy, Raichur, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Srindanur, Vijayawada, Pebbair, Kothakota, Gadwal, Medak, Banswada, Bodhan, Zahirabad, Bidar, Narayankhed, Amaravati, DevarakondaYadgiri and Vikarabad.

From Jubilee Bus Station (JBS): Adilabad, Karimnagar, Medak and Nizamabad.

From Central Bus Station (CBS): Kurnool, Nellore, Anantapur, Kadapa, Chitoor and Ongole.

From Uppal X Roads: Warangal, Hanumankonda, Jangaon, Throor, Parkal, Narsampet, Mahabubabad, Yadagirigutta.

From Dilsuknagar Bus Station: Nalgonda, Miryalaguda and Suryapet.
