Hyderabad: Despite the warnings written on the pack, many people choose to not only chew pan, tobacco, gutkha, khaini or pan masala, but they also spit it publically on the roads or even inside buses.
Taking note of such incidents, Managing Director of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation, V C Sajjanar has warned the staff as well as passengers who chew and spit tobacco in the bus, outside from the bus or bus stations.
Instructing the Regional Managers, Divisional Managers and Depot Managers, Sajjanar said that if necessary legal action will be taken against those who spit tobacco publicly. He also advised that chewing tobacco, pan, pan masala, gutkha and khaini was harmful to one’s health. Every day hundreds of people die of oral cancer, mouth cancer, due to the habit of chewing tobacco.
