Hyderabad: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has appealed to people not to believe in reports going viral on social media platforms about special darshan slots being given to the elderly, physically challenged and others.
In a statement on Tuesday, the TTD asserted that it had not revoked the suspension of special darshan for these three categories so far. The special darshans were stopped during the pandemic, but a decision to restart them has not been taken so far.
A TTD spokesman pointed out that several messages were being shared on social media platforms and said that devotees are likely to be misled by these messages. The TTD would take a decision on providing special darshan slots to the elderly, physically challenged and other categories and the decision would be communicated to people officially. Till then, the devotees are requested not to give credence to reports in social media, the statement said.
