TV anchor Pradeep’s father passes away due to Covid

Pradeep was among the celebrities, who have been continuously helping people in need of plasma donors and ventilator beds in the city through his Twitter handle for the past two weeks.

Hyderabad: Popular Telugu television host and actor Pradeep Machiraju’s father Pandu Ranga, 65, passed away on Saturday night, battling Covid. Several actors in the Telugu film industry expressed condolences to the family.

Pradeep was among the celebrities, who have been continuously helping people in need of plasma donors and ventilator beds in the city through his Twitter handle for the past two weeks.

Pradeep Machiraju’ father had been suffering from health issues for some time and he breathed his last on Saturday. It may be recalled that actor Pradeep was tested positive for coronavirus last month and isolated himself. Several other Telugu television actors too have tested positive for the virus.

Pradeep Machiraju earned popularity with Telugu television shows ‘Konchem Touch Lo Unte Chepta’ and ‘Gadasari Atta Sogasari Kodalu’. After acting as a sidekick in several films, he made his debut as a lead actor with the movie ’30 Rojullo Preminchadam Ela’.
