Karimnagar: Twitter India has locked the account of senior Congress leader and former MP Ponnam Prabhakar for violating its norms.
Prabhakar’s account was locked for re-tweeting Congress party national leader Rahul Gandhi’s tweets. Rahul Gandhi through his twitter account sought justice for a nine year old girl who was raped in Delhi. Prabhakar on August 8 re-tweeted stating that “Rahulji asking Justice to every Daughter’.
Responding to Prabhakar’s re-tweet, twitter management said “You may not publish or post other people’s private information without their express authorisation and permission”.
Management asked him to remove the re-tweet to unlock his account. “To unlock your account, you must do the following: remove tweets that violate our rules”.
In a statement, Prabhakar said that Twitter India management locked his account for re-tweeting Rahul Gandhi’s tweets.
