Twitter testing prompts to reduce fights

As per the tweet, the prompts could be about dropping hints which says “conversations like this can be intense” or a pop-up which has three points under the title “let’s look out for each other”

Hyderabad: Twitter has always been a hotbed of arguments, trolling, harassment and abuse. In order to make users’ Twitter experience less heated, the company is testing new prompts on iOS and Android. These prompts, according to a tweet from Twitter Support, give a user a heads up if the convo they are about to enter could get heated or intense.

As per the tweet, the prompts could be about dropping hints which says “conversations like this can be intense” or a pop-up which has three points under the title “let’s look out for each other” – remember the human, facts matter and diverse perspectives have value.

According to The Verge, Twitter will also warn users before they tweet something that might be offensive and also show a prompt if a user tries to retweet an article which it thinks has not been read, which could help decrease the spread of misinformation.
