Hyderabad: The Asifnagar police arrested two persons for murdering a man at Kishannagar on Sunday night.
Shaik Qabula, who worked at a furniture workshop, was stabbed to death by the accused, Sameer and Waseem, following a dispute over the repayment of Rs 10,000.
According to the police, Qabula had borrowed Rs 10,000 from Waseem in April for some work. However, he failed to repay the amount, which led to ongoing disputes between them.
In the past few weeks, Qabula and Waseem had several quarrels over the unpaid amount. Though some individuals intervened and urged Qabula to repay the money, he did not do so, further straining the relationship.
On July 20, Sameer and Waseem called Qabula and asked him to meet at the Namak Factory area in Asifnagar to resolve the issue. “Qabula told them he would come soon, as he was with some people at Chotti Galli in Jhirra. Upon learning this, Sameer and Waseem went to Chotti Galli, spotted Qabula, and killed him by stabbing and throwing boulders on him,” said Asifnagar ACP B Kishan Kumar.
Based on a complaint, the police registered a case and arrested Sameer and Waseem after investigation.
