Two bike mechanics arrested for online betting in Adilabad

Adilabad: Two mechanics were arrested for allegedly indulging in online betting here on Tuesday. Two mobile phones were seized from their possession.
Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan said two motorcycle mechanics, Jogu Sai Kumar from Kachakanti village and Shaik Sajeed from Ramai village were apprehended while committing the offence on a mobile phone-based application in a sports ground, following a tip-off.
Mahajan urged the public to be cautious of applications promoting online betting. Betting would cause financial losses and has forced several youngsters even to end their lives, he said, warning of stringent action against those who indulge in the act and organize it. He requested the public to share information about such mobile applications.
