Two booked for distributing cash at polling stations in Adilabad

Two men were booked in Adilabad for distributing cash to voters during polling, violating the model code of conduct. Police seized Rs 6,140 from them following a tip-off. Katipelli Raja Reddy and Mekala Krishna Kumar are under investigation.

Adilabad: Two persons were booked for distributing cash to electors at different polling stations violating the model code of conduct here on Wednesday. Police seized Rs.6,140 from the two.

Adilabad One Town Inspector B Sunil said a case was registered against Katipelli Raja Reddy from Vidyanagar and Mekala Krishna Kumar of Bhuktapur in the town for giving cash to induce electors at the polling stations.
