Two boys drown in irrigation tank of Nirmal’s Kubheer

Two boys, aged 10 and 11, drowned while swimming in an irrigation tank at Dodarna village in Nirmal district’s Kubheer mandal on Monday. Sofiyan died on the spot, while Ganesh succumbed during treatment at a Bhainsa hospital

Nirmal: In a tragic incident, two boys drowned in an irrigation tank at Dodarna village in Kubheer mandal on Monday. Police said that Sofiyan (10), 0Ganesh (11) and another boy went for a swim in the tank. They both entered the water, while the other boy sat on the bund. The two drowned as they were not familiar with swimming. Some locals tried to rescue the boys, but in vain. While Sofiyan died on the spot, Ganesh breathed his last while undergoing treatment at an area hospital in Bhainsa.

Their bodies were recovered from the tank and were shifted to the area hospital in Bhainsa for post-mortem. A case has been registered and investigations have been taken up.
