Medak: Two motorists were charred to death when their biked skidded off and caught fire in the process on NH 161 at Bodmatpallly village in Medak district in the early hours of Thursday.

Fire broke out as the bike skid and the petrol tank exploded.

The man driving the vehicle was reduced into the ashes in the incident.

The victims were identified as Vasudev (27), and Dattu (28), residents of Mangalpet in Narayankhed Mandal.

The locals said that the rash driving and overspeed have resulted in the incident.

The bodies have been shifted to Area Hospital Narayankhed for postmortem. The Tekmal Police have registered a case.
