Two dead, three injured in road accident in Hyderabad
Five persons were travelling in a car when the vehicle rammed into an electric pole at CBIT road, Gandipet. Two of them died on the spot while three others sustained injuries.
Hyderabad: Two students were killed and three others injured when their car crashed into a roadside electrical post at Narsingi on Thursday afternoon.
According to the police, five students, including the deceased Kaustabh (21) and Jordan (21), along with three others — Prakash, Deepak and Ashish — were heading towards Shankerpally from Narsingi around 1.15 pm.
“Kaustabh was driving the car and he suddenly veered the car towards the roadside to avoid hitting an auto-rickshaw. It went out of control and crashed into the post with Kaustubh and Jordan dying on the spot,” said M Gangadhar, SHO (Narsingi), adding that the other three were injured and rushed to hospital.
The Narsingi police shifted the bodies to the Osmania General Hospital mortuary for autopsy and registered a case.
Kaustabh, according to the police, had gone along with his friends to college for an examination in the morning. His friends had waited to pick him up after the examination and left for Shankerpally together.
