Hyderabad: Yashoda Hospitals on Wednesday launched two specialised clinics to provide focussed care for patients suffering from asthma and lung diseases. The two clinics have been established keeping in view the rising disease burden of pulmonary diseases due to pollution, infections and stress levels, Yashoda Hospitals in a statement said.
At asthma clinic, patients will be comprehensively assessed to identify the reasons for poor control of asthma. Patients will also have access to all the available therapies for asthma control, including biologics and bronchial thermoplasty. The severe asthma clinic will be operated between 11 am and 5 pm every Thursday.
At lung diseases clinic, patients with severe Interstitial Lung Diseases (ILD) with symptoms like dry cough and breathlessness, who are likely to benefit from lung transplant will be assessed by a team specialized in lung transplantation. The ILD clinic will be run from 11 am to 5 pm every Friday. Both the speciality clinics in pulmonology will be run under the supervision Dr. V Nagarjuna Maturu, Department of Pulmonary medicine, Yashoda Hospital, Somajiguda.
Director, Yashoda Hospitals, Dr. Pavan Gorukanti said the clinics have been established to provide better and focused care to improve the patient outcomes.
