Hyderabad: Two elderly women, who were allegedly kidnapped from SR Nagar over a property dispute, were rescued from a house in Ameenpur in Sangareddy district late on Thursday.
The women, both in their seventies had a dispute over a house in SR Nagar with one Mohd. Miraj for the last few years. While Miraj claimed that the house was his ancestral property, the women maintained it was theirs. On Thursday afternoon, Miraj along with three others allegedly barged into their house and forcibly took them in a car to Ameenpur. They were kept in a room, with food, bed and other needs.
Police said one of the women managed to call the SR Nagar police, who reached the spot and rescued them. A kidnap case was booked and is being investigated.
