Peddapalli: Two farmers died in a road accident that took place in Godavarkhani town on Wednesday evening.

The incident occurred when a bike rammed into an earthmover after hitting a woman walking on the road near Jyothinagar sub-station.


Neelam Sadaiah (48), Jupaka of Huzurabad mandal and Pudari Sammaiah (53), Molangur of Shankarapatnam mandal, Karimnagar district died on the spot.

According to police, Sadaiah and Sammaiah on Wednesday came to coal belt town on a two wheeler to attend a function in their relative’s home in Jawaharnagar locality.

The duo met with an accident while they were moving to another relative’s home in Ramnagar area of Godavarikhani. Their bike hit an earthmover after hitting a woman Ch Shankaramma wo was walking walking on the road.

While Sadaiah and Sammaiah died on the spot with severe head injuries, Shankaramma sustained a fracture on her left leg.

Godavarikhani CI Ramesh Babu said they began investigation by registering the case.
