Two farmers electrocuted in Mahabubabad in past couple of days
Two farmers lost their lives due to electrocution in Mahabubabad district in separate incidents over the past two days. Police said one farmer died while switching on an irrigation pump, while another succumbed while guarding his maize field.

Mahabubabad: Two farmers died of electrocution in separate incidents in the past couple of days in the district.
A farmer Banoth Kumar (26) of Banjar thanda in Bayyaram mandal died of electric shock on Monday late night hours. He was said to have suffered electric shock while turning on the irrigation pump set at his farm field and died on the spot.
In another incident, a 65-year old farmer Katravath Jamla Naik reportedly suffered electric shock at his maize field and died. According to family members he went to the field on September 7 to guard the field and did not return home.
When his family members searched for him he was found dead with burn injuries on his body. Police booked cases in both the cases and launched an investigation into the incidents.
