Two gates of Himayathsagar to be opened, 11,000 cusecs to be released

Hyderabad:  With the inflows into Himayathsagar increasing by over 11000 cusecs, Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) is planning to initially release water downstream by opening two gates at 12 in the midnight. Depending on the inflows, HMWSSB will be taking a decision on releasing further water downstream.

Police and revenue departments have been appealed to take necessary measures accordingly. Initially 1300 cusecs will be released.
