Hyderabad: Two persons posing as Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials allegedly tried to extort money from a bullion firm in Sanathnagar.

As per information available, the suspects visited Vindhya Bullion Company and claimed that several cases were pending against the firm in Delhi. One of the suspects, identified as Prasad alias Shashi, introduced himself as an ED official and later brought another man, Pawan, to the office.

The duo allegedly threatened company representatives, demanded money to settle the cases, and showed a fake online complaint on a mobile phone. The company staff grew suspicious and verified the details, only to find that the complaints were fabricated.

Following this, they approached Sanathnagar police and lodged a complaint. The case is being investigated.
