Hyderabad: Two persons, who allegedly murdered an elderly woman after raping her at her house in Abdullapurmet, were arrested on Wednesday.
The arrested persons were identified as Devaraya Suresh (30) and B Srikanth (23), both residents of Abdullapurmet. According to the police, the two raped the woman at her house and robbed her belongings when she was alone at her house on Monday night. They had earlier dropped her home on Monday evening and on noticing that her husband was around, took him to a bar where they offered him liquor.
“While returning, they left him on the roadside and went to the house, where they first raped her and when she raised an alarm, hit her with a pestle. When she died, they escaped after stealing her ornaments,” LB Nagar DCP Sunpreet Singh said.
