Nalgonda: Nalgonda Town-I police on Tuesday arrested two persons and seized one liter of cannabis oil, which would be extracted from the banned ganja.
The arrested were identified as Killa Suresh of Araku in Visakhapatnam district in Andhra Pradesh and Shik Mahaboob Ali, a native of Hyderabad. Superintendent of Police A V Ranganath said after a tip-off, the two persons, who came to Nalgonda to sell cannabis oil to addicted persons, were arrested. The cost of one litre of cannabis oil was estimated to be nearly Rs 3 lakh. They were selling 10-ml bottle of cannabis oil at the price of Rs 3,000.
He said that the arrested duo admitted that they had purchased the cannabis oil from some persons at Araku. About 20 kilograms of ganja was required to prepare one litre of cannabis oil. He said that the addicted persons place two drops of cannabis oil on the cigarette and smoke it for intoxication. He asked the parents to keep a watch on their children and alter themselves if found any abnormal behavioral changes. He cautioned that there was a chance for 10 years imprisonment in the cases of drug use under the drug endangered act, he added.
