Two held with 7,500 alprazolam tablets, 150 cough syrup bottles near Zaheerabad

The excise officials seized 150 codeine syrup bottles worth Rs 28,000 and alprazolam tablets worth Rs.15.95 lakh from two ganja peddlers while they were smuggling the contraband in a luxury car

Sangareddy: The Sangareddy police seized 7,500 alprazolam tablets and codeine phosphate-laced cough syrup from a car while it was being taken to Hyderabad from Mumbai at an inter-state check post near Zaheerabad on Tuesday.

The excise officials seized 150 codeine syrup bottles worth Rs 28,000 and alprazolam tablets worth Rs.15.95 lakh from two ganja peddlers while they were smuggling the contraband in a luxury car. The excise officials took Mohd Aslam and Mohd Alim Khan into custody and seized the car worth Rs.40 lakh as well.
