Hyderabad: Two persons including a foreign national were arrested by the Rachakonda police for allegedly printing fake Indian currency and trying to circulate it in the market. The police seized 920 fake notes of Rs.2,000 denomination from them.
The arrested persons were identified as Yambou Wako Mathurin (54) of Kenya and Shaik Rehmath of Suryapet district. “Both of them printed Rs.2,000 fake currency notes using a colour photocopier machine and were planning to circulate it in the city when they were caught at Abdullapurmet,” the Rachakonda police said.
The two were produced before court and remanded in judicial custody.
