Hyderabad: Two girls of Osmania University (OU) Girls Hostel have tested positive for Covid-19 during the screening done on Thursday. They were immediately isolated and the university was making arrangement to screen the remaining boarders.

Meanwhile, the university administration said it was not inclined to postpone examinations scheduled to commence from Saturday as more than 8,000 students would be appearing for the exams including students from district centres, such as Siddipet, Medak, Sangareddy, Vikarabad etc.

“However, the university assures that those students who cannot appear for examinations from tomorrow, for reasons of Covid-19, a re-examination will be conducted and the same will not be treated as supplementary,” the OU said in a press release on Friday.
