Hyderabad: Two Indians were killed in a bombing incident in Sohar city near Muscat and eleven others were injured, the Ministry of External Affairs confirmed here on Friday.

While the names of the killed expats were not disclosed, the MEA spokesperson confirmed that of the eleven injured, ten were Indians and that they suffered non-lethal injuries. They are being treated at a local hospital.

Meanwhile, reports on social media, particularly X, maintained that the city of Sohar came under a drone attack. “One drone landed in the Al-Awhi industrial area and caused the death of two expatriates and several injuries [to other persons].
