Two Indian foxes rescued from agricultural well in Telangana

Two Indian foxes were rescued from an open agricultural well at Malaally village in Husnabad mandal. Forest officials sought help from the AWCS team, which travelled more than 160 km at night. The healthy foxes were later released into the wild.

Siddipet: In a combined rescue operation, the forest department and the Animal Warriors Conservation Society (AWCS) have rescued two Indian Foxes which accidentally slipped into an open agricultural well at Malaally village in Husnabad mandal late Saturday night.

Following information from sarpanch Swarnalatha, the forest officials reached the spot. However, they sought the help of Patancheru-based AWCS when they could not rescue them on their own.

The AWCS team travelled more than 160 KMs during the night and rescued them after a couple of hours of effort. Since they were healthy and sustained no injuries, the forest officials released them into the wild.
