Two injured as private bus crashes into cement mixer in Nalgonda; 40 passengers escape unhurt

Nalgonda: Two persons sustained injuries while nearly 40 passengers had a narrow escape after a private travels bus collided with a cement mixer tanker near Muthyalammagudem in Kattangur mandal here on Tuesday morning.
The private travels bus was travelling from Vijayawada to Hyderabad when one of its tyres reportedly burst, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. Despite his attempts to regain control, the bus crossed the road median and rammed into a cement mixer tanker coming from the opposite direction, according to reports.
The bus driver and the tanker driver sustained injuries in the accident and were trapped inside their respective cabins. Local residents rushed to the spot and rescued them before they were shifted to hospital for treatment.
The remaining passengers escaped unhurt, reports said. Further details are awaited.
