Kothagudem: Bhadrachalam police arrested two juvenile offenders and recovered stolen property worth Rs 5.99 lakh from them in the district on Wednesday.
According to Bhadrachalam Inspector of Police, T Swamy, the offenders during interrogation confessed to committing six thefts together – five in Bhadrachalam and an auto theft in Khammam two town.
One of them has a criminal history and seven cases were booked against him in the past at Dummugudem, Yetapaka, Tekulapalli, Burgampad, Bhadrachalam and Khammam two-town police stations. He was produced before the Juvenile Justice Board and was released on bail.
After release on bail, he continued to steal with another juvenile offender as his accomplice. A resident of Bhadrachalam, Gurajapu Ravi, received the stolen property such as cash, gold jewellery, TVs, electronic devices and an auto rickshaw from them.
Bhadrachalam ASP Dr. Vineeth G appreciated CI, Swamy and others for cracking the theft cases.
