Hyderabad: The Commissioner’s Task Force (south west) team caught a person who was in possession of hashish oil and seized 2 kg of the oil worth Rs. 20 lakh from him.
Acting on a tip off, the Task Force team caught Hantal Gobardhan alias Govardhan (32), a native of Malkangiri in Odhisa who travelled to the city to deliver the contraband here.
“Govardhan was working along with one Manoj, a resident of Koraput district of Odhisa. Manoj instructed Govardhan to go to Hyderabad and handover the consignment to one person at Gudimalkapur.
When Govardhan arrived at Hyderabad to deliver the consignment of hashish oil, he was apprehended,” said DCP (south west), G Chandra Mohan.
In another case, the Task Force along with the Habeebnagar police caught three persons – Syed Abdullah (32), Anas Ahmed Shaikh (24) and Irfan Raju Shaikh (20) and seized 144 grams of ogiveed ganja from them. The ganja is valued at Rs. 8 lakh.
Abdullah was purchasing the ganja from Anas Ahmed, who works as a senior associate in a BPO in Mumbai and with help of Irfan selling it in the city. On a tip off, they were caught at Mallepally, said the officials.
