Two killed as car hits bike in Jagitial

The accident occurred when a car moving towards Jagitial from Korutla hit a two-wheeler coming from the opposite direction

Jagitial: Two persons killed in a road accident near Mohanraopet village of Korutla mandal on Sunday evening.

The incident occurred when a car moving towards Jagitial from Korutla hit a two-wheeler coming from the opposite direction. Bike rider Shikari Yashwanth (21), and Md Sameer (11), who was travelling in the car, died on the spot. Both the victims are residents of Korutla town.

According to police, Md Saddam, a gulf returnee, along with his family members including wife Usma, sons Md Saheb, and Md Sameer and daughter Zoha were traveling to Jagitial from Korutla.

On the other hand, an AC mechanic, Shikari Yashwanth, was moving to Korutla from Mohanraopet. Saddam, who has a habit of driving on the right side of the road in Dubai, hit the bike coming from the opposite direction in confusion. While Yashwanth died on the spot, Sameer was struck in the car.

Saddam, who received serious injuries, was shifted to Apollo hospital. Other injured persons were admitted in Jagitial hospital. Police began investigation by registering a case. Bodies were shifted to hospital for postmortem.
