Karimnagar: Two persons died after struck with lightning in Bommanapalli of Chigurumamidi mandal on Friday night.

According to police, Orsu Mallaiah (50) along with his brother-in-law Allepu Ravi (42) went to agricultural fields to arrange fodder and water for cattle.


As the rain started, they took shelter under a steel roofed shed. They died on the spot as lightning hit the shed.

After coming to know about the incident, police visited the spot and shifted bodies to Karimnagar hospital for postmortem. Based on the complaint lodged by the deceased wives Rajavva and Saravva, police registered the case and began investigation.
