Two killed in road accident near Kondannapalli in Karimnagar

Two people died in a road accident near Kondannapalli, Karimnagar, on Tuesday morning when a motorcycle crashed into a car, causing it to hit a tree. The victims, including school operator Thorikonda Mallaiah, died on the spot from severe injuries

Karimnagar: Two persons were killed in a road accident near Kondannapalli of Gangadhara mandal on Tuesday morning.

The mishap occurred around 8 am when a speeding motorcycle hit a car moving ahead of it. The deceased were identified as Thorikonda Mallaiah and a youngster from Nizamabad.


A native of Kondannapalli, Mallaiah was residing in Karimnagar and running a school in Rekurthy. He was travelling to his native village to celebrate Deepavali when the accident occurred.

According to police, the youngster on the motorcycle crashed into the rear of Mallaiah’s car, causing the latter to lose control and ram the vehicle into a roadside tree. Both sustained grievous injuries and died on the spot.

Police visited the scene and shifted the bodies to the Karimnagar Government Hospital for postmortem.
