Two killed in road mishap in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Two persons, including a woman, died on the spot after a truck hit their motorcycle at Panama in Vanasthalipuram on Tuesday morning. The victims were identified as Ravikanth (33), a sales executive from Vanasthalipuram and Thara (31).

The two were family friends with Ravikanth a business partner with Thara’s husband. The incident occurred when they were heading towards Hayathnagar on Ravikanth’s bike with Thara riding pillion.

According to the police, when they reached near Panama, the driver of the truck, which was allegedly driven in a rash and negligent manner, lost control and hit them from behind. The Vanasthalipuram police shifted the bodies to the Osmania General Hospital for autopsy.

A case of negligence causing death was booked and efforts are on to nab the absconding truck driver.
