Hyderabad: Two persons were killed and at least six others injured in separate road accidents reported from Kanchanbagh, Rajendranagar and Vikarabad on Saturday.

In Kanchanbagh, an 18-year-old youth died after a tipper lorry rammed into his motorcycle on Saturday night. The victim, Mohammed Rehan Qureshi, a resident of Hafiz Baba Nagar C Block, had slowed down after noticing potholes when the lorry hit his bike from behind.

“The tipper lorry driver, who was following the bike, rammed into it. The victim fell onto the road, sustained severe injuries and died on the spot,” a Kanchanbagh police official said. A case has been registered.

In another incident at the Outer Ring Road in Rajendranagar, a 35-year-old man, identified as Venkat Sai Ram, a native of Karnataka, was killed when the car he was travelling in rammed into a truck from behind. Another occupant sustained injuries and was shifted to a hospital. A case has been registered.

In Vikarabad district, five members of a family were injured in an accident involving a car and an autorickshaw at Pudur mandal on Saturday evening.

The injured, residents of Parsapur Thanda near Kodangal, were returning home after attending a wedding in Hyderabad when their autorickshaw collided with a car at Rakancherla Gate.

All the injured were shifted to Hyderabad for treatment. The condition of three of them is reported to be critical. Police have registered a case.
