Two killed, two injured in fire mishap in ginning mill in Jadcherla
Two workers were killed and two others injured when a fire erupted at Balaji Ginning Mill near Gollapally in Jadcherla on Tuesday. The fire started after trash got stuck in an exhaust pipe. Workers blamed the management and staged a protest.

Mahabubnagar: Two workers died while two others sustained grievous injuries when a fire broke out at the Balaji Ginning Mill near Gollapally in Jadcherla on Tuesday afternoon.
The victims were identified as Pappu (26), a native of Odisha, and Harender Singh (23) from Bihar. The incident occurred when trash got stuck in the fire exhaust pipe and the two workers tried to clear it. The fire broke out from the other side of the pipe and blew towards them, engulfing the workers in flames and leading to their death, reports said.
The two other workers tried to rescue Pappu and Harender Singh and in the process suffered burn injuries. Workers at the mill said the two deceased had got married recently. Many workers from other States, especially Odisha, West Bengal and Bihar, work in the unit.
Angry at the mill management and accusing it of negligence, the workers staged a protest and tried to damage the property. However, the police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
