Hyderabad: Two films produced by Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), Instructional Media Centre (IMC), have been selected for International Science Film Festival 2021.
According to IMC director Rizwan Ahmad, the film ‘Transforming India: A Documentary of Bio-Fertilizers’ was directed by M Mohammad Ghouse, while Obaidullah Raihan directed the second film ‘Kachre se Tawanayi: Energy from Waste’.
Vigyan Prasar, Department of Science & Technology, shortlisted the films in the top 15 films received from around the world, the MANUU said on Tuesday. Prior to this selection, ‘Transforming India’ was also in the list of national selections at the 5th National Film Festival organised by National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Ministry of Rural Development.
MANUU Vice Chancellor Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan congratulated the IMC team and said the fruits gained were indeed a result of hard work of the centre.
