Two men steal Rs 1 lakh mobile phone in Saroornagar
Two unidentified men allegedly staged a fake fall to distract a passerby and stole his mobile phone worth around Rs 1 lakh in Saroornagar. The incident was captured on CCTV, and police have registered a case and launched an investigation to identify the suspects.
Hyderabad: In a clever attention diversion theft, two unidentified men allegedly stole a costly mobile phone worth around Rs 1 lakh from a passerby in Saroornagar.
According to police, the incident occurred on Monday when the suspects arrived on a motorcycle without a number plate and deliberately pretended to fall on the road. As a passerby rushed to help them, the duo exploited the distraction and swiftly stole his mobile phone before fleeing the scene on the same motorcycle.
The entire incident was captured on a nearby CCTV camera.
On receiving complaint, the Saroornagar police have registered a case and are examining the CCTV footage to identify and trace the thieves.
