Two minors held for assault of five-year-old girl in Mahadevpur

Two minor boys sexually assaulting a five-year-old girl has come to light lately at Mahadevpur mandal headquarters in the district on Tuesday. he two accused, one studying in the 9th grade and the other in the 7th grade, were reportedly taken into police custody.

Bhupalpally: An incident of two minor boys sexually assaulting a five-year-old girl has come to light lately at Mahadevpur mandal headquarters in the district on Tuesday.

On Sunday, the minor boys lured the girl who was playing on the school grounds, promising her to buy an ice cream; they took her behind the school building, where they subjected her to sexual assault. The girl returned home, weeping in pain.

Upon noticing her distress, her mother immediately rushed her to a local hospital at night; however, doctors there advised that the girl had to be taken to Government District Hospital in Bhupalpally for specialised care.

The girl’s parents took her to the district hospital on Monday morning. After conducting medical examinations and providing treatment, the doctors advised the parents to report the incident to the police; consequently, the parents informed the police on Tuesday morning.

The police visited the hospital to check the girl, registered a case under the provisions of the POCSO Act and launched an investigation into the incident. The two accused, one studying in the 9th grade and the other in the 7th grade, were reportedly taken into police custody.
