Two officials suspended for food poisoning in Narayanpet ZPHS

Narayanpet: A day after 30 students of Zilla Parishad High School fell ill in Maganoor mandal here after consuming mid-day meals in the school, two officers have been suspended by the government.
MEO Muralidhar Reddy and Mess Incharge M Bap Reddy have been placed under suspension by the School Education Director EV Narasimha Reddy. The contract of the agency, which was responsible for mid-day meals, is also canceled.
Despite 30 students falling sick after consuming the mid-day meals, the District Medical and Health Officer DK Sowbhagyalaxmi claimed only 15 students were affected by the food poisoning.
