Hyderabad: Two persons were murdered in separate incidents in the city on Sunday. At Miyapur, a daily wager Kranthi Reddy (36) was murdered allegedly by his in-laws over family issues. Kranthi Reddy was married to Durga around six years ago and the couple stayed at Hafeezpet. For the last few months there were some differences going on between the couple following which Durga shifted to the house of her mother, who stayed nearby.
On Sunday, Kranthi called his wife over the phone and picked up a quarrel. “His mother-in-law Ratnamma called him to her house to discuss the issue. In an inebriated condition Kranthi went there and picked up an argument with Ratnamma during which she pushed him. Minutes later, Appanna, the victim’s brother-in-law came to the place, took a boulder and hurled it on Kranthi resulting in his death,” said Miyapur police. A case has been registered.
In another case, at Narsingi police station limits, D Balaiah (95), who was attacked by some persons three days ago passed away while undergoing treatment. The police suspect he was attacked by some unknown persons resulting in injuries and subsequently his death.
Balaiah was found with injuries a little away from his house on October 13, and shifted to a hospital where he was undergoing treatment. In the early hours of Sunday he passed away at the hospital. The police who had previously registered a case under Section 307 of IPC altered it to 302 of IPC and are investigating.
