Hyderabad: Two persons died after the car in which they were traveling over turned on the outskirts of Velpur mandal, which was enveloped with thick fog, in Nizamabad district on Tuesday morning.
The accident occurred when three persons – Manoj, Shravan and Bharat – were going towards Velpur from Bheemgal. Death was instant for Manoj and Shravan while Bharat, who suffered serious injuries, was rushed to a private hospital in Armoor, according to police.
The police said the accident could have occurred after the car driver applied sudden brakes to prevent a vehicle from hitting. The driver might failed to see the vehicle properly due to thick fog that enveloped the area.
As a result, the vehicle turned turtle leading to the death of Manoj and Shravan on the spot.
The police said Manoj was a resident of Pipri village in Bheemgal while Shravan was from Bachanpalli village. “We will be able to know the exact cause of the incident only after collecting more details from Bharat, who is undergoing treatment at Armoor hospital,” the police said.
