Two persons held in Hyderabad for smuggling marijuana

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Task Force nabbed two persons on charges of illegally procuring and transporting marijuana at Patel Nagar here on Thursday. Officials seized 1.5 kilos of marijuana and other material from the arrested persons, identified as B Anand Singh (24), a catering worker from Mangalhat and Gopal Varma (22), a private employee from Bahadurpura.

According to the police, the two had procured marijuana from dealers at Rs 8,000 a kg and sold the same at higher rate to customers. The two along with the seized material were handed over to the Begum Bazaar police for further action.
