Siddipet: Two persons were swept away in Gonepally stream at Chinna Kodur Mandal of Siddipet district on Sunday. The victims were identified as Suresh and Jai Sigh, natives of Mumbai and Uttar Pradesh respectively.
Suresh and Jail Singh were visiting their relatives working at a local industry in Siddipet. Since the water bodies were in full flow due to heavy rains, they went to have a glimpse of the streams and were swept away when they ventured into the Gongepally stream. Police and irrigation officials were on the job to trace the bodies. A case was registered.
